Their Eyes Were Watching God, Chapter Eightteen.

It is late summer in the evergaldes, and this means hurricane season. There are signs of a storm, but Janie and Tea Cake don't take them seriously. Some groups of people leave, and go towards Palm Beach Road.

Sudden bursts of lighting and thunder hit. Their town is pretty much destoryed. Most of the people gather together because they are scared. They try to get to a higher place, but they are pretty much getting blown away. Janie stays afloat by hanging onto the tail of a cow. The two are struggling to survive, and Tea Cake ends up getting bit on the cheek by a rapid dog.
